About
Jessica has studied at the University of Chichester and completed a BSc in Dance Science (Applied Performance Pathway) and an MSc in Sport and Exercise Biomechanics. While pursuing her postgraduate studies, Jessica was employed by the university’s Institute of Applied Sciences as the Biomechanics Laboratory Technician. Within her current role, Jessica uses practical skills and knowledge from her previous degrees in an applied biomechanical environment. Her primary responsibility is day-to-day management of laboratories and equipment both used for teaching and research purposes. Additionally, Jessica has close connections with the dance science department where she will occasionally support teaching and laboratory setup.
Jessica has spoken at the national BASES Student Conference 2024 and the international IADMS 34th Annual Conference 2024, presenting her research in pirouette performance.

· Quantifying and improving pirouette performance
· Injury prevention through training and teaching
· Researching alternative dance cohorts to ballet
Jessica hopes to produce more research within the dance science sector specifically for the biomechanics field.
