This module will introduce you to the basics of art theory, giving you the opportunity to create artistic work that demonstrates an application of these concepts. You will investigate the foundations of art production through a series of projects that establish a fundamental understanding of visual communication. This module will provide you with a mixture of workshops and assessed briefs designed to promote core conceptual understanding of art & design. You will explore the basic theories underpinning art production (composition, form, shape and colour theory, etc.), while also working with appropriate materials and software to translate your understanding into practical output.
