This module further extends and improves speaking, listening and reading skills in academic contexts that are developed in Academic Language & Skills 1, but in this module greater emphasis is placed on the skills and discourse awareness for more extended pieces of academic writing, and in particular the knowledge and skills required to write academic essays, reports and projects at Levels 5 and above.
It aims to continue to make you aware of your own areas for development in the use of academic English and to maximise your use of strategies for reflection, self-evaluation and advanced proficiency.Â
