Kerry Newman

About

Kerry joined Chichester University as a lecturer in physiotherapy and placement learning in 2024. She is a chartered physiotherapist who is also self-employed working in a private clinic in Chichester and runs several exercise and rehabilitation classes locally.

She has worked in the NHS and privately since graduating in 1997 and worked in acute hospitals, outpatient clinics and in the community mostly in musculoskeletal and pelvic health but also spent several years working in specialist palliative care.

She has worked as a senior lecturer in St George’s University previously where she led the musculoskeletal year 2 module and was admissions and year 2 tutor.

Research

Kerry has a special interest in practice education.  As part of her MSc she completed her dissertation in student’s perceptions of the multiple educator model of practice education.
